What is the XMP block?
A second set of metadata in XML that usually repeats author, title and dates. Wiping removes it too; saving edits removes it so no stale data remains.
Does it delete the page text?
No. Only the hidden file data. The visible content stays the same.
Does it remove comments or annotations?
No; those are not metadata. That is coming as a separate feature.
